Blake Griffin OU Sooners

Blake Griffin is a 6-10 Sophomore that plays for the Oklahoma Sooners.  Many college basketball anaylst predict that he will be the Player of the Year in college basketball this season.

As a freshman, Blake Griffin averaged 14.7 points per game along with 9.1 rebounds.  Here is a look back at Blake’s freshman year at OU.

DJ Khaled from Koch Records is one of the best Hip-Hop artists around.  His new album, We Global is one of the best hip-hop albums in 2008.  The versatile deejay has produced tracks for artist like Trick Daddy, Pitbull, Young Jeezy, and his Terror Squad brother Fat Joe.

As part of the Terror Squad family, Khaled has built a foundation strong enough to hold weight with his debut album.  An album packed with loyalty, respect, and Miami love that can be described in one word, Incredible.  Within months of his phenomenal album release, Khaled has managed to add to his long list of credentials by taking home 2 nominations at the Ozone Awards for Best Club DJ and Best Rap Collaboration for Holla At Me featuring Lil Wayne, Paul Wall, Fat Joe, PitBull and Rick Ross. He also received an award for Mixshow DJ of the Year at the Power Summit 06.

His video for Holla At Me Baby and Grammy Family were both featured on MTVs Making The Video and was the 1st artist to perform on the Red Carpet for the BET Awards 06 One of his projects had to be coordinating one of the BEST parties ever to hit South Beach.  Its his Annual, World Renowned Birthday Bash AKA The Temple.  Khaled has been blessing us with his birthday bash for over 10 years and every year he Pushes It To The Limit.

John Wall

John Wall is the number 1 basketball prep star in the country.  He’s a 6 foot 3, 185 pound athletic guard that plays high school basketball for Word of God Christian Academy in North Carolina.

The baller has officially visited the basketball schools of the Memphis Tigers, Kansas Jayhawks and the Oregon Ducks.

However, because Baylor University hired Dwon Clifton, brother of John Wall’s AAU basketball coach, many people believe that John Wall will verbally committ to Baylor in the near future.

Stephen Curry is a Baller

Stephen Curry is the March Madness man.  He led Davidson to the Elite Eight in his Sophomore season and will return to entertain the college basketball world for at least one more year. Curry was named to the Associated Press’ All-America Second Team on March 31, 2008. He was also named the Most Outstanding Player of the Midwest Region of the 2008 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship Tournament, becoming the first player from a team not making the Final Four to do so since Juwan Howard of the University of Michigan in 1994.

Nike recently re-released the Nike Air Penny II basketball shoe.  The sneakers feature a black and white upper, along with a blue outsole and Nike Air sole unite at the heel. The colorway is inspired by the colors of the Orlando Magic, which all of us recognize as the home of Penny Hardaway.  The Nike Air Penny II is a hoops shoe designed specifically for Penny Hardaway. Hugh Jones aka Baby Shack

Hugh Jones aka “Baby Shack” is a streetball legend from Washington D.C.  He is 6-3 and weighs 230 pounds and is famous for dunking on just about every baller at the Run ‘N Shoot streetball court as well as on the And 1 Mixtape Tour.  Baby Shack earned his name in junior high school because he grabbed every board that came off the glass.  He played against the AND 1 team in the final four games on the 2004 AND 1 Mix Tape Tour, making his strongest statement with a 47 point performance in the Raleigh, NC game.

Kevin Love, the UCLA basketball All-American has been chosen for the cover of the newly named EA SPORTS college basketball videogame NCAA Basketball 09 for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, and the PLAYSTATION3 and PlayStation2 computer entertainment systems.

“There is more to college basketball than just the 65 team post season NCAA Tournament, and our new name reflects this,” said Peter Moore, President, EA SPORTS. “College basketball is about the entire season, focusing on the fantastic school rivalries, recruiting, home court advantage, student sections, mascots, and loud arenas. Named 2008 Pac-10 Freshman and Player of the Year, Love led UCLA to the Men’s Final Four. He was the fifth pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies and later traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
